The head coach of Aduana Stars, Yaw Acheampong has expressed satisfaction with the fighting spirit displayed by his players in the defeat to Samartex FC on Monday.

The Dormaa-based club hosted the league leaders today in a Round 18 encounter of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.

After conceding twice in the first half, Aduana Stars came in strong in the second half to try and salvage something.

Unfortunately, the team only managed to score one and succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at the end of the 90 minutes.

Speaking after the game, Aduana Stars coach Yaw Acheampong said he was happy with the performance of his team.

He said the team lost because of the early goal conceded to Samartex FC.

“I think I’m satisfied with the performance, especially in the second half but we conceded very early and it made the game very difficult for us.

“We made the mistake for them to score earlier so it made the game very difficult for us. But that’s football. We will see what we will do in the next game,” Coach Yaw Acheampong said in his post-match.
