Aduana Stars defender, Caleb Amankwah says the team will cope in the 2020/2021 Ghanaian football season after losing star midfielder Elvis Opoku.

The experienced midfielder joined Legon Cities FC in the transfer window and will now be based in Accra with the rebranded Wa All Stars outfit.

While many say Elvis Opoku’s departure is a big blow and will weaken Aduana Stars, Caleb Amankwah shares a different opinion.

The 23-year old defender says the Dormaa-based club will survive and do well without Elvis Opoku.

"Elvis Opoku's exclusion from our squad this season won't affect us in any way. We equally have good players to replace him,”, Caleb Amankwah told Light FM in an interview.

On the opening weekend of the Ghana Premier League season, Aduana Stars is set to host Hearts of Oak at home in a cracking fixture.
