AFCON 2019: Dr. Kofi Amoah insist no team will have it easy playing Black Stars

President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalization Committee (NC), Dr. Kofi Amoah has disclosed that none of the 23 other countries at this year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will have it easy when they come up against the Black Stars.

Ghana will begin their campaign at the AFCON tonight when they take on the Squirrels of Benin in their opening match in Group F. The West African Country enjoyed a good pre-tournament training camp in Dubai before moving to Egypt for the start of the continental showdown.

Despite failing to win any of the two friendly matches they played, the Black Stars have exhibited good team spirit, determination, and focus in the last couple of weeks ahead of this year’s tournament.

Having monitored the team’s training regimen in Dubai, President of the GFA Normalization Committee has noted that he is convinced the current team will be very difficult to beat at the AFCON.

“Well my message is very clear. The Black Stars of Ghana will be there team to beat. Our coach is focused, the players are focused, Asamoah Gyan, and Dede Ayew, all the players. I was in Dubai with them, the camaraderie in there and the Unity, there are exuding some unity and force to bring the cup home”, Dr. Kofi Amoah said in a recent interview on Asempa FM.

Ghana will kick off their AFCON 2019 campaign tonight when they come up against Benin at the Ismaily stadium. Kick off time for the match is at 20:00GMT.
