English Premier League side, Newcastle United has sent a goodwill message to Black Stars winger Christian Atsu ahead of Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) clash against the Squirrels of Benin later this evening.
The West African country is set to kick off their campaign in this year’s tournament as they take on Group F opponent Benin in a crunch encounter.
Atsu who plays for the Magpies in England has been named in the starting lineup of the Black Stars and is expected to operate from the wings to help his team set off with a win.
In a post on Newcastle United’s official Twitter handle, they have wished the pacey winger the best of luck in today’s match for his country.
The match will be played at the Ismaily Stadium at 20:00GMT.
