The accident victims of Africa Vision Soccer Academy are set to receive financial support from the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

On Saturday, the team was involved in an accident where seven out of 34 young footballers lost their lives as the minibus they were traveling on plunged into the Offinso River.

Following a meeting by the Ghana FA Executive Council today, all the members have accepted to donate their monthly allowances to the accident victims.

“The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has taken a decision to donate their monthly allowance for the month of September 2020 to the Offinso accident victims”, a communique on the website of the GFA has said.

The country’s football governing body on Sunday sent a delegation led by Executive Council member Frederick Acheampong and Ashanti Regional Football Association Chairman, Osei Tutu Agyemang to Offinso to commiserate with families of the victims and to visit the injured players.

The donations is expected to provide financial support for the victims some of whom continue to receive treatment.
