African brothers who have starred for their national teams - featuring Ayews, Gyans and Kingstons

Paul and Florentin Pogba recently made the headlines after facing each other. Here are the most capped African brothers who represented their national teams. The list includes two former PSL players!

Yaya and Kolo Toure are one of the most famous pair of brothers in football, and the Ivory Coast duo are also the highest capped brothers in football history.

What might surprise is that Kolo, with 118 matches, has made more appearance for Ivory Coast than Yaya (97). Overall, they have donned the Elephants' shirt 215 times.

Famous Danish duo Brian and Michael Laudrup are next in line in the overall rankings with 190 appearances for the 1992 UEFA European Championship winners.

However, the next African brothers are Zambia's Christopher and Felix Katongo. Former Jomo Cosmos, Golden Arrows and Bidvest Wits striker Christopher made 89 appearances for his national side, while Felix, who also had a brief spell with Jomo Cosmos, featured in 62 games.

Salomon and Bonaventure Kalou appear in third spot having made 141 appearances for Ivory Coast, while Morrocco's Youssouf and Mustapha Hadji follow in fourth position with 127 games between them.

Jordan and Andre Ayew starred for Ghana at the recent AFCON, taking their overall tally to 121 games between them, while the third Ayew brother, Ibrahim, has represented the Black Stars on six occasions.

Their father Abedi Pele is also on the list, having made 101 combined appearances for Ghana between him and his brother Kwame Ayew.

Other brothers are Kenya's Victor Wanyama and his sibling McDonald Mariga, as well as two-time UEFA Europa League winner Stephane Mbia and his younger brother Franck Etoundi, Ghana's Baffour Gyan and Asamoah Gyan as well as Richard Kingson and Laryea Kingston.
