Agyeman Badu reveals talks with Jerry Akaminko before accepting Bursaspor offer

Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyeman Badu has revealed that he spoke to Black Stars teammate Jerry Akaminko before joining Turkish side Bursaspor.

The 26 year old spent the last seven years of his career in Italy with Udinese before moving to Turkey to join Bursaspor on a season long loan.

Badu who was Italy paid a glowing tribute to his club, Udinese by thanking everybody.

"I thank you all for coming first. Thank you for talking to the bishop. I also want to thank the president of Udinese. I was there for 7 years and it was hard for me to leave. I also thank the owner for believing in me. I promise to try my best to do my best and work best. "

The former Under 2-0 world Cup winner also revealed he spoke to some of his colleagues he had plied their trade in Turkey before making the move, with Black Stars defender Jerry Akaminko among the list.

"I have played with Ghana national team for 7-8 years. I played with Turkey. We had 2-2 draws. I spoke with Akaminko and Onazi here. I know Bursaspor captain Batalla and Ekong, I had a chance to meet them. I hope it will be a very good season for us. "

The Ghanaian now joins compatriots, Asammoah Gyan, John Boye, Jerry Akaminko, Isaac Sackey, Attarmah Larweh and many more in Turkey.
