Burkina Faso international Ahmed Toure is set to join Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak before the transfer window closes on January 13, Footballghana.com can report.

The Phobians and his representatives are in advanced talks over his possible switch to the club in the coming days.

Hearts of Oak want to boost their front-line with the acquisition of the 32-year-old after failing to secure a win in their league opener against Berekum Chelsea last weekend.

According to report, the former Asante Kotoko striker will be joining Hearts on a free transfer after refusing to sign a new deal with Congolese side AS Vita.

Toure joined AS Vita club from Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas for an undisclosed fee, however, he will be making a sensational return to play in the top flight after refusing to extend his contract with the Congolese side.

The goal poacher has previously played for Ghanaian clubs such as Asante Kotoko, Bechem United and Kessben FC (Medeama SC), Lebanese side Al-Nejmeh, El Gouna in Egypt and Belgian side KSC Lokeren.
