Alan Shearer Provides a Positive Response When Asked About Arsenal's Title Chances

Alan Shearer provided a welcoming response to Arsenal fans when he was asked about the Gunners title chances this season, the London based club haven't won a league title for over a decade, but the ex-Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United striker says it could be the Gunners' year.

"Whether they can go on and win it, I think that's too early to ask because we've seen it from Arsenal many times.


They're going to have to go out and play like this for the rest of the season if they want to go on and win the Premier League.�

They play rivals Tottenham Hotspur midday Sunday and this could be a defining moment in the Gunners' season and a win could really give them a boost heading into the international break.


Arsenal finished second last season despite a poor season, snatching the spot above Spurs on the last game week of the season. Now a couple of key changes from Arsene Wenger this season could see them go one better.


WithAlexis Sanchez the star man upfront, along with Olivier Giroud, now back amongst the goals, confidence in now oozing through the team, along with new signings Shkodan Mustafi and Granit Xhaxa, who have broughtan instant impact to the team.


The Gunners could go one point clear at the top of the league with a win against Spurs.
