Alhaji Grusah pleads with Muslims to pray for King Faisal amid relegation battle

Published on: 21 April 2021

The owner of King Faisal Football Club, Alhaji Karim Grusah has made a passionate plea to Muslims as he asks for prayers to help his relegation-threatened club.

With their struggles starting from the 2019/2021 football season where the Ghana Premier League campaign was truncated, it has continued to this season as well.

After 20 matches into the new season, King Faisal is one of three teams heading for relegation if they do not start winning consecutive matches.

Aware of his team’s troubles, Alhaji Karim Grusah has called on Muslims to offer prayers on behalf of his King Faisal in the ongoing Ramadan.

“Members of the club should help King Faisal in prayers because we have done our best to win games but the balls are simply not entering the post," he told GTV Sports Plus.

The King Faisal bankroller continued, “I am making a passionate plea to my Muslim brothers to remember King Faisal in your Ramadan prayers.”

Up next for King Faisal, the team will come up against Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League.
