Am no longer with Kayserispor – Asamoah Gyan

Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan confirmed his departure from Turkish Super Lig side Kayserispor whiles indicating that he is now a free agent.

The veteran attacker played for the club last season after joining on a free transfer from Chinese side SIPG.

Gyan, 33, has now parted ways with Kayserispor after seeing out his contract at the end of the 2018/2019 season.

Speaking in an interview with Asempa FM on Friday morning, Gyan shared, “I’ve ended my contract with Kayserispor in Turkey so I am free.”

Persistent injuries robbed him of making an impact at the club scoring just five goals in 26 matches.

Asamoah Gyan remains Ghana’s leading goal scorer for Ghana and has affirmed his readiness to feature for the side in the upcoming qualifiers for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
