Andre Ayew stars as Swansea City beat Millwall to extend unbeaten run

Ghana skipper Andre Ayew put up an impressive performance for Swansea City as they continued their impressive tart to the 2020/21 Championship season on Saturday.

Ayew lasted the entire duration of the game in his side's 2-1 win over Millwall at the Liberty stadium.

After a goalless first-half, Bidwell opened the scoring for the Swans just seconds into the second half with an intelligent far-post finish, only for that effort to be cancelled out by Tom Bradshaw’s left-footed effort.

But the hosts would not be denied, and Cabango was on hand to fire in a rebound with 22 minutes remaining to give the home side the edge in a tight contest.

Ayew made four key passes and had 55 touches in the game as Steve Cooper’s side made it three wins from four Championship games.

Swansea City are 4th on the league table with 10 points, just two points adrift leaders Bristol City after four matches played thus far.

Swansea will take on Huddersfield Town in their next league game after the international break on October 17.
