German-born Ghanaian midfielder Anton Donkor was sent off in Eintracht Braunschweig's 2-1 defeat to Rostock on Sunday afternoon.

Former Rostock player Anton Donkor saw the yellow first then a red card early in the game in the 22nd minute.

A goal from Rostock scored by Kevin Schumacher in the 24th minute didn't count because of offside.

A headed goal by Anthony Ujah in the 43rd minute was also withdrawn after a minute-long review by the video referee.

Lukas Fröde gave Rostock the lead in the 58th minute. Immanuel Pherai, who is been courted by several Bundesliga clubs, equalized with a penalty kick in the 69th minute. With the last action of the game, Pascal Breier made it 2-1 for Hansa in the 90+3 minute.

Braunschweig defended very well for a long time when outnumbered. In the final phase, however, Rostock still had three big chances and the late winning goal.

Anton Donkor made 32 appearances, scored three goals, and assisted one in the league this season.
