Antonio Conte Open to Andrea Pirlo Training With Chelsea Following Maestro's Visit

Antonio Conte has revealed Italian legend and the smoothest man in football Andrea Pirlo paid Chelsea a visit whilst on holiday in London.


The New York City midfielder played under Conte at Juventus, where they won three Serie A titles together, before Pirlo moved to the States.


"He was only here to see me. He is still able to do a good training session," Conte explained to reportersat the Mirror.

"I'm pleased for this visit. Andrea was my player for three years [at Juve] & we won together."


Pirlo played 33 times for his New York City side last season and helped guide them to the Eastern Conference semi-finals, where they were knocked out by Toronto FC.


The former Italian international is currently on a break, as the MLS season doesn't start until March, which could possibly see the maestro train with Conte's side to maintain his fitness levels.

Conte's side are currently three points clear at thetop of the Premier League and are in tremendous form going into the busy winter break, having won their previous eight games.


The Italian's input of the3-4-3 system has made the Blues a force to be reckoned with and with the possibility of Pirlo being able to shed some light on how he and Juventus dominated Italy with the formation Chelsea can only go from strength to strength.


Pirlo has been an incredible contributor to football, with his passing ability and his effortless play making him one of the most respected figures in the game. Whether he takes up Conte's offer remains to be seen but whatever happens he will always be admired.
