Arsene Wenger has expressed his disappointment in his players for letting a 2-1 lead slip in their crucial Champions Leagueclash with PSG on Wednesday night.
A win would have confirmed Arsenal's progression to the last 16 as group winners, but instead they go into the final game needing to better PSG's result to have any chance of finishing top.
Alex Iwobi's 77th minute own goal -that resulted from a poorly defended corner -was enough to give PSG a welcome point, and frustrate the home side.
And Wenger was particularly unhappy with the slack marking from the set piece.
"It's difficult to understand how easy we gave away a goal at a corner," he said - viaMetro. "You have to consider two things. The intensity we put in and the result.
"We gave a lot tonight and we came back from 1-0 down to lead 2-1 and then gave away an own goal.
"We had good spells in the game but we could not dominate. Tonight my concern is that we were 2-1 up and allowed them to come back at us."
It's likely to be the sixth time in the last seven seasons that the Gunners will finish as runners up in their Champions League group - and they have been knocked out in the last 16 of the competition six times in a row.
Recent seasons suggest that finishing second generally doesn't result in a final, with21 of 26 finalists since 2003/04topping their group.
Arsenal travel to FC Basel in their final group game, while PSG host Ludogorets in what should be a routine win.
