Arsenal Goalkeeper Petr Cech Relishing '6-Pointer' Against Manchester City

Petr Cech is eagerly anticipating Arsenal's clash with Manchester City on Sunday and claims it is the 'perfect' matchto bounce back from Tuesday's shock defeat to Everton.

The Gunners fell to only their second defeat of the season at Goodison Park, meaning Chelsea could move six points clear at the top of the table with a win against Sunderland on Wednesday night.

Yet, speaking to theEvening Standard, Cech was keen to emphasis that Tuesday night's defeat was not a disaster.

We can't win every game in the Premier League," he said. "Sometimes you can have a game where you have control and it can all change very quickly. This changed very quickly and it went away from us.

"But I have to say that we have to pick ourselves up and then prepare for the next one. It is a big one and I think it is a perfect game for us to bounce back and get the points back. There is a big period now with games coming thick and fast and there is no time to dwell on the defeat. You have to move on and get ready for the next one."

Cech, who won four Premier League titles with Chelsea, has claimed he is glad Arsenal's next game is against one of their title rivals.

He said,"Sometimes I think it is the best [thing] when you play a big game if you play another one after. It gives you another opportunity to win. It is a kind of six-pointer so it is probably a perfect game for us.

Sunday's clash is also significant for their opponents Manchester City, who have lost their last two league games. Guardiola's side were overwhelmed by Leicester at the weekend with many pundits questioning the Catalan's defensive approach to the game.

However, victory against Watford on Wednesday night could see City move into third place and relieve some of the tension around the Etihad.

Football purists will be licking their lips at the thought of Sunday's encounter, which pits two possession-based and attack minded coaches against each other.

Wenger and Guardiola have met eight times (all in the Champions League), with the Spaniard emerging victorious on four occasions compared to Wenger's two wins.
