As a national team coach you should live in the country you work for - Otto Addo

Ghana head coach, Otto Addo has explained why he preferred to do the job on an interim basis.

According to him, the job is a very big one and anyone that accepts to coach a national team should be ready to live in that country for the long term.

“I don't see the position with me yet. I think that as a national coach, you should also live in the country for which you work in the long term.

“Of course, many things can also be organised and delegated remotely over a certain period of time. But I see myself personally in Germany in the next few years,” Otto Addo who works for Dortmund told Transfer Market in an interview.

The German trained tactician after talks with the Ghana FA has agreed to continue with the Black Stars.

He will not only be in charge of the qualifiers for the 2023 AFCON but will also take the Black Stars to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
