Asante Kotoko acting coach Abdul Gazale is confident his outfit can annex the Ghana Premier League title despite unimpressive performance in recent times.

The Porcupine Warriors were unable to return to winning ways after sharing the spoils with Legon Cities on Thursday.

The Royals held Kotoko to a 1-1 stalemate at the El- Wak Stadium in matchday 24 of the Ghana Premier League.

The first half didn’t produce the free flowing football many expected but the Porcupines took the lead on 17 minutes. They were awarded a penalty and up stepped skipper Richard Boadu to send the Cities goalie the wrong way.

After recess, Alex Aso climbed off the bench to restored parity for the Royals with a brilliant finish in the 70th minute which was enough to salvage a point for his side.

Kotoko have now move to 6th position while Cities are out of the drop zone but only on goal difference.

Asked if Kotoko can win the league title, Gazale said, “Definitely, we are working hard because Kotoko without a trophy, there is no league. The players know it in their mind. We are going to work and make sure we get wins out of the 10 games left”

“We will take it game after game, our next game is against RTU at home, and we cannot afford to lose or draw. So we are going back to Kumasi, work hard and get the three maximum points” he said.
