Asante Kotoko are yet to open contract extension talks with skipper Felix Annan ahead of the season, Footballghana.com can report.

Annan, 25, has three weeks left on his contract and eligible to sign a pre-contract with any club.

The management of the club are planning to meet his representative in the hope that the Black Stars goalkeeper extend his stay with the two-time CAF Champions League winners.

He has been a key figure for the Porcupine Warriors in the past seasons, earning him the captaincy role after Amos Frimpong left the club to join AS Koloum in Guinea.

The shot-stopper joined Asante Kotoko during the 2011 season, however, he found it difficult to breakthrough the goalkeeping department ahead of the late Soulama Abdullai and Isaac Amoako.

He joined both West Africa Football Academy  (WAFA)and Real Tamale United  (RTU) on loan to gain more playing time.

His return to the club has been glorious, thus far and remain of the best players in Ghana.

He is currently a member of the Black Stars of Ghana, where he was part of the squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations staged in Egypt.
