Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko have issued a statement on the passing of group managing director of Access Bank Plc, Dr. Herbert Wigwe.
In its statement on Monday, February 12, the Kumasi-based club extended its condolences to the bank which is one of its sponsors.
The statement also extended its condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues as they mourn Dr. Herbert Wigwe.
“The family of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club extend our deepest condolences to Access Bank Plc on the passing of Group CEO, Dr Herbert Wigwe.
“Dr Wigwe's visionary leadership and unwavering dedication have left an indelible mark on our organisation and the industry as a whole.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Access Bank PLC, Dr Wigwe's family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time,” the club statement from Asante Kotoko said.

Dr. Herbert Wigwe was killed in a helicopter crash in the United States of America, on Friday, February 9.
He was one of six people including his wife and son when the helicopter crashed.
“With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Dr. Herbert Wigwe.
