Asante Kotoko will leave Accra for Kenya on Tuesday for their CAF Confederation Cup first leg game with Kariobangi Sharks, this is according to Kotoko's Accra representative Nana Kwame Dankwa.

Kotoko, who are Ghana's sole representative in the CAF Confederation Cup, were expected to travel to Kenya on Wednesday, December 13, for the first leg of the competition against Kariobangi Sharks, which would be played between 14th-16th December and the second leg scheduled for the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi, a week later.

However, Nana Kwame insists they will leave on Tuesday not Wednesday as being speculated.

"Management of Asante Kotoko has uttered their traveling plans from Wednesday to Tuesday," Nana Kwame told Oyerepa FM.

"The team will leave on Tuesday and transit at Ethiopia, will leave Ethiopia on Wednesday for Kenya."

Kotoko gained a walkover in the first round of the competition following their Cameroonian opponent's inability to reach deadline for certain requirements by CAF.

Meanwhile, Coach Charles Akunnor has named an 18-member squad for the game against Kenyan side.

The team includes prolific forward Songne Yacouba, former CAF Champions league winner Daniel Nii Adjei and Black Stars Goalkeeper Felix Annan.
