Communications Director of Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo has taken a swipe at Asante Kotoko, insisting their exit from the CAF Champions League is a disappointment.

Having secured a 1-0 win in the first leg in Benin against RC Kadiogo in the preliminary round of the first leg of the qualifiers, the Ghana Premier League champions at home suffered an elimination.

The Burkinabe secured a 1-0 win at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The tie was settled in a penalty shootout with the Porcupine Warriors losing 3-1.

Opare Addo speaking ahead of the Super Clash on Sunday said Kotoko's early elimination is a disappointment.

"We are very disappointed in Asante Kotoko for their exit in the CAF Champions League against Kadiogo," Opare Addo told Accra-based Original FM.

Hearts of Oak after a defeat against Aduana Stars and a draw against Great Olympics in their first two games of the season will be hoping to secure their first win against their rivals on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The much anticipated game has been scheduled to kick off at 15:00GMT.
