Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah set to face a lengthy spell on the sidelines with foot injury

Ghana and Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah is set to face a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a foot injury in his side's 4-2 win over Birmingham in the Championship on Sunday in the second city derby, according to Ghanasoccernet sources.

The 30-year-old was at the receiving end of the cynical tackle from Harding which earned him a booking.

He could not continue the game as a result of the tackle afterwards.

The former Bristol City player had to jump on the back of the Villa Physio who piggybacked him down the tunnel.

Adomah was substituted in the 65th minute by on-loan Everton forward Yannick Bolaise when Villa were leading 3-2 at home.

Alan Hutton put the game beyond reach the Blues as he bagged a fourth in the 76th minute.

Adomah joined Aston Villa on transfer deadline day for an undisclosed fee, swapping directions with Adama Traoré who went to Middlesbrough, 31 August 2016.

During the 2017–18 Aston Villa F.C season, he scored 15 goal, finishing as the clubs top scorer, to help Villa secure a play-off place and defeat his old side Middlesbrough in the two semifinals to reach the final, playing in the final, as Villa lost 1–0 to Fulham in the final and thus missed out on promotion to the Premier League.
