English Premier League side, Aston Villa have made a move to sign Belgian forward of Ghanaian descent, Jeremy Doku.

Just like every other club, Villa remains keen on bringing in players to strengthen the squad of the team in the off-season before the start of the 2023/24 football season.

As per multiple sources, officials of Aston Vila last week made an offer of €25 million to Stade Rennais FC in a move to sign Jeremy Doku.

The French Ligue 1 outfit deemed the offer too small and rejected it.

Reports suggest that Stade Rennais FC values the talented winger higher than the offer and are looking for a fee around the region of €40 million.

It is understood that this has been communicated to Aston Vila with the club also preparing a second big.

If an agreement is reached when a second offer is presented to the French club, the English Premier League club is expected to finalise the signing of the player by the close of this week.

Jeremy Doku, previously starred for RSC Anderlecht in the Belgian Pro League before moving to France.

He has developed his game over the last few years and is now a regular of the Belgian national team.
