Athletic Bilbao president Jon Uriarte is determined to keep Nico Williams at the club for his entire career.
Williams, newly capped by Spain, has attracted interest from Juventus and Liverpool this season.
The young striker has a contract with Athletic to until 2024 and Bilbao President has disclosed working tirelessly to keep the enterprising winger for years.
But Uriarte said: "The moment to broadcast from the club that you have to keep your feet on the ground it's just started.
"We are comfortable and we have to work to ensure that these players stay with us for their entire career and for this we need Athletic to be a top-level team."
Nico Williams scored and assisted in Bilbao’s 4-0 win over Almeria last Friday.
He has scored three goals and provided three assists in seven games this season.
