Black Stars forward, Inaki Williams, has shed light on Athletic Club's strategy for their upcoming Copa del Rey match.
Athletic Club are set to face lower division side UE Rubi in the first round of the Spanish FA Cup on Wednesday, November 1, at 20:30 GMT. The match will be played away from home.
Williams shared his thoughts during a postgame interview after Athletic Club's 2-2 draw against Valencia CF in the Spanish La Liga.
In this match, Inaki provided the assist that won his side a point with a perfect cross, while his younger brother Nico Williams also made a similar contribution.
Looking ahead to the Copa Del Rey tie, the 29-year-old emphasized the significance of the tournament, stating, "It’s a very special tournament for us, for all the players, we face it with the greatest enthusiasm and with the greatest humility. We are going to a field that is complicated and we are not used to it."
Athletic Bilbao boasts an impressive record in the Copa Del Rey, having clinched the title 23 times in their history.
Despite having made 11 appearances for Ghana without scoring a goal, Inaki Williams has shown impressive form this season, with four goals and three assists in 11 games.
