Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey was delighted with his performance for Atlético Madrid as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Real Madrid on his 100th La Liga appearance for the club on Saturday evening.

Partey was one of the standout performers on day, recording a 95% passing accuracy from 38 out of 40 total passes in the first half.

The 26-year-old also had a 100% duel success rate in the opening period, winning four out of four, and also made four recoveries.

“It’s a useful point, but we did all we could to earn the win," he told his club's official website.

''The team’s work was phenomenal. I’m happy with my performance, but I’m more interested in the team’s good work.”

The Ghanaian made a total of 79 passes in the entire 90 minutes he lasted and also made four dribbles, which was more than any player from either team on the pitch.

He was named Man of the Match by Atletico Madrid fans after the game.

He has featured in seven appearances and scored once for Atlético Madrid in the 2019/20 season.
