Manger for Atletico Madrid, Diego Simeone has heaped praises on Ghanaian international Thomas Teye Partey for his outstanding performance for the side in the last couple of years.
The Black Stars midfielder has been with the Spanish giants since joining them in the 2012/2013 season. After earning a place in the first team, he has managed to couch a name for himself and continues to shine.
He has been unplayable this season while helping the Madrid-based club pick up some important points, both in the La Liga as well as the Uefa Champions League.
Partey emerged as the man of the match last Saturday when his side locked horns with Real Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano. As if that was not enough, he put up a five-star performance on Tuesday night to help Atletico Madrid post a 2-0 win over Locomotive Moscow in the UCL.
Commenting on the player’s performance after yesterday’s win, Diego Simeone expressed delight on how he has progressed whiles stressing on his immense talent and commendable work ethic.
“He is in a very good moment. He waited and worked hard to reach this moment.
“He has been with us for five or six years and he makes me very happy because it is all work and talent. We hope it will continue to grow because it has a long way”, the gaffer said.
Meanwhile, Thomas Partey remains a transfer target of top European clubs including PSG, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspurs, and Arsenal.
