Atletico Madrid are aiming to sign Espanyol midfielder Roca but will only do so when Partey leaves the club this summer.
Partey has been linked with an exit to Arsenal with the Gunners already agreeing personal terms with the player according to reports.
However, Arsenal have not paid the player's 50 million release clause, a fee that Atletico Madrid have been adamant on. They are eager to keep Partey for another season but if that does not happen, they will fund the transfer of Roca.
Currently, they do not have the necessary funds to sign Roca who is valued at around 20 million euros and need Partey to leave the club first.
It remains to be seen if Partey does exit from the club.
