Ghanaian winger Christian Atsu recovered from injury to provide an important assist for Newcastle United to defeat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 to record Magpies first Premier League win in three matches.
Atsu was introduced in the 17th minute when Allan Saint Maximin got injured to set up Joelinton to score on the 27th minute at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Atsu has been out of action since sustaining a hamstring injury in Ghana’s 0-0 draw against Cameroon in an Africa Cup of Nations group-stage bout.
