Avram Grant snubs K.P Boateng despite seeking Black stars return for Egypt clash

Published on: 03 November 2016

Head coach of the Black Stars Avram Grant left out UD Las Palmas midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng from his 23 man squad to face Egypt in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The German-born Ghanaian who was kicked out of the Black Stars camp in Brazil during the 2014 world Cup due to indiscipline, came out this week to announce his intentions of welcoming a Ghana call up.

Despite his call, Avram Grant ignored him for the must win game against the Pharaohs of Egypt slated for November 13 in Alexandria.

Kevin Prince Boateng has been in superb form for Las Palmas scoring four goals so far this season and winning the CNN best goal of the Week.

His fine form has left many Ghanaians with the view that he deserves a national team call up.
