Interim coach of Asante Kotoko, Abdulai Gazale, has expressed his disappointment with his players' performance following their 2-0 loss to Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League on Thursday.

The Porcupine Warriors had the chance to move into the top four but were unable to take advantage of it, while the Dade lads moved out of the relegation zone with the win.

In a post-match interview, Gazale lamented his team's poor display, saying they should have done better and that their performance in the first half was "awful".

“It's very disappointing because we came here [Sogakope] to maintain our winning streak. Our players didn't perform better in the first fifteen minutes of the game.

“We conceded in the early minutes which was avoidable same situation resulted in the second goal. It very disappointing that the players keep display such output whenever we get the chance to make it to the top. The performance in the first half was awful.”

Asante Kotoko is currently in sixth place and will face Tamale City in their next match.
