Barcelona Squad Photograph Reveals 27-Strong Support Staff for Just 22 First-Team Players

Published on: 26 September 2016

Argentina head coach Edgardo Bauza recently accused Barcelona of failing to adequately look after Camp Nou superstar Lionel Messi. But taking care of their players doesn't seem like something the Catalans takelightly after this week's official team photo showed a 27-strong groupof support staff for only 22 first-team players.

Among that number feature doctors, physios and other medical staff, trainers, manager Luis Enrique and his coaching staff, various analysts and equipment personnel.

Spanish publication Marca has even helpfully identified each of the 27 and their specific role in making Barça tick.
