Bayern Munich Star Not Keen on Ditching Current Club for Barcelona or Real Madrid

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has dismissed claims linking him to Barcelona or Real Madrid, stating that the Spanish giants would not be a step up from his current home in Germany.

The Polish striker has been particularly linked with a move to Spain's capital in the past, but the 28-year-old signed a new four-and-a-half-year deal in Decemberto tie him down at the Allianz Arena.

And now the striker is adamant that Bayern are now at the same level as the Spanish giants, as perGoal.

"Bayern are one of the best teams in the world and on a par with Real Madrid and Barcelona," he told Sport Bild. "A move for me would not mean a step up. We can win every trophy.

"Besides, I feel very comfortable in Munich."

Lewandowski was also positive about the size of the squad available in Munich despite teammate Arjen Robben questioning the depth of the team recently.

"It's not as though we only have 14 players," he said. "I think the squad size is perfect and can be our big asset in the fight for the title.

"The number of players is just right. It makes sure that all the players are motivated because everyone sees the chance to be in the first XI."

Despite a slow start under Carlo Ancelotti, Bayern have forced themselves to the top of the Bundesliga, sitting three points ahead of high-flying RB Leipzig.

A tricky task awaits them in the last-16 of the Champions League as they once again face Arsenal after finishing second in their group to Atletico Madrid.
