Officials of the Ghana Beach Soccer Competitions Committee have reportedly held fruitful talks with Bernhard Lippert, the Technical Director of the GFA in relation to the upcoming beach soccer league.

It has been revealed by the General Secretary of the GFA in the past that workshops will be held for players, officials, coaches, the media and other allied beach soccer stakeholders to prepare for the start of a beach soccer league, a tournament that has been long overdue.

The Beach Soccer Competitions Committee initially held talks with the GFA General Secretary on ways to speed up the development of beach soccer in Ghana. The nation has mainly focused on football, leaving a number of sporting disciplines behind.

It has been revealed that Lippert suggested to the committee to assess the conditions of current beach sites which will be used as match avenues, for upgrades while also take a look at potential sites and send him a report.

Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, the chairman of the Beach Soccer Competitions Committee, is expected to embark on that journey with his team.
