Berekum Chelsea coach Christopher Ennin has not trained with the team this week ahead of the resumption of the Ghana Premier League.

The domestic top-flight bounces back this weekend after the Africa Cup of Nations tournament, where Ivory Coast emerged as winners.

Berekum Chelsea will travel to face Bibiani Goldstars at Duns Park in the week 18 of the campaign.

But Footballghana.com understands, Ennin has not reported to training since last Monday.

His absence at training this weekend has fueled speculations about his move to Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak.

Earlier reports suggested the Phobians are set to appoint Ennin as the new assistant coach of the club ahead of the second round of the campaign.

The Phobians has effected changes in the technical team with the appointment of Ivorian Aboubakar Ouattara as head coach as they seek to turn things around in the second half of the campaign, which commences this weekend.

It is said the Ghanaian giants are in advanced talks with Ennin and are willing to offer him the assistant coach role at the club after parting ways with Rahim Bashiru, who served under Martin Koopman as assistant gaffer.

He won eight games, drew three and suffered six defeats in the 17 games he played in the first half of the Ghana Premier League.
