Bibiani Goldstars chief Akwasi Adu has denied Prince Kwabena Owusu’s imminent move to Asante Kotoko during the second round of the season.

The marksman disclosed his agreement with Kotoko after Goldstars' 0-1 loss to Kotoko in the FA Cup round of 32 on Sunday afternoon in Bibiani.

But Akwasi Adu in an interview with Kumasi-based Kessben FM monitored by denied such claims, revealing Hearts of Oak are in the lead to sign the highly-rated striker.

“Prince Kwabena Owusu not joining Kotoko, Hearts of Oak are in lead to sign him. He is not moving anywhere for now. Between employer and employee who has that power? He quizzed.

“He can only move at the end of the season. He has served us quite well and we want to bless him before he leaves. Amongst the clubs who have shown interest and leading to sign him is Accra Hearts Oak.

Of course Kotoko is huge and every player would want to play there but Tony the truth is that he can only leave at the end of season. Not now" he said.

Owusu has been a pivotal figure for Goldstars since securing promotion to the Ghana Premier League

Notably, his prolific 19-goal performance in the Division One League Zone Two played a crucial role in Goldstars' historic promotion to the Premier League.

Owusu netted all four goals when Goldstars thrashed Legon Cities FC 4-2 in the Ghana Premier League a few weeks ago.
