The Ghana women’s U20 national team nicknamed the Black Princesses will be travelling to France on Saturday, February 10, for a 10-day tour.

This follows a partnership agreement signed between the Ghana FA and the French Football Federation.

“The national U-20 Women’s team, otherwise known as Black Princesses are set to travel to France for a 10-day tour following a to partnership agreement between the Ghana Football Association and the French Football Federation (FFF),” parts of the Ghana FA communique said.

Speaking at the French Embassy after the agreement was reached, Vice President of the Ghana FA, Mark Addo said the initiative aligns seamlessly with the GFA’s women’s football strategy that aims at elevating women’s football in Ghana.

''It is a strategic move not just about participation but promoting excellence at the global stage and also extending the cultural and economic relationship that Ghana and France have enjoyed over the years,” the GFA Vice President said.

Mark Addo continued, ''The qualification of the Black Princesses to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia is a testament to how women’s football has developed in Ghana,”

''The benefit of this program extend beyond football but about building bridges between cultures and fostering mutual understanding and showcasing football as a unifier.”

The Black Princesses are scheduled to depart Accra for France on Saturday, February 10, 2024.

The team will stay in France until February 17, 2024.
