2024 FIFA Women’s U20 WCQ: Black Princesses hit the gym to build on fitness ahead of Senegal clash on Sunday

The Ghana U20 Women’s national team has already started preparations for the reverse fixture against Senegal in the qualifiers for the 2024 FIFA Women’s U20 World Cup.

Nicknamed the Black Princesses, the side defeated their counterpart from Senegal 2-0 over the weekend in the first leg of the final qualifying round for the upcoming World Cup.

After returning to Ghana on Sunday, the Princesses led by head coach Yussif Basigi are gearing up for the second leg.

On Monday, the team hit the gym as players put in some work in a bid to build on their fitness.

The Black Princesses are expected to train at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium from Tuesday to Saturday, before the big game against Senegal on Sunday, January 21.

With a 2-0 lead from the first leg, the Ghana U20 Women’s national team players are confident about qualifying for the 2024 FIFA Women’s U20 World Cup in Columbia.
