Bob Bradley Insists Swansea Are 'Making Progress' Despite 3-1 Defeat At West Brom

Bob Bradley has refused to reach for the panic button at Swansea despite another hapless defensive performance which allowed West Brom to beat them 3-1 at the Hawthorns.

Salomon Rondon's three headers could all have been prevented had the Swans been more proactive in defending crosses and challenging in the air.

"The first one's a set-piece," Bradley said toSky Sports, "next two, similar in that we go deep in the box and when the ball gets cut back I don't think we move fast enough so we allow them to attack balls."

"I think we can still move out quicker and make it more difficult for their forwards in those situations."

With West Brom leading 3-0, Wayne Routledge pulled one back and offered a flicker of life for the dying Swans.

"3-0's a big hole. We certainly had some chances to go to 3-2 which would have made things interesting, so there's something positive there and in a busy week we have to turn things around quick for the game against Middlesbrough."

"I still think it's a period where we're making progress. If we can finish up this week with a good result that's still a big positive week."

If Swansea are to fashion anything out of their tie with Middlesbrough, they will need to stop capitulating after conceding. Rondon's three headers came in the space of thirteen playing minutes.

"[You need] concentration if you go down. Keep the game still at 1-0, get back into it with the right kind of football and you have a chance but that's an area where we clearly have to get better."
