BREAKING: Legon Cities FC appoint Bashir Hayford as new head coach

Published on: 25 November 2020

Legon Cities FC have announced that they have appointed experienced tactician Bashir Hayford as the team’s new head coach.

As confirmed by footballghana.com earlier this week, the capital-based club has sacked Coach Goran Barjaktarevic on the back of his failure to win any of his first two matches of the new Ghana Premier League season.

After successful talks in the last couple of days, Legon Cities FC has today confirmed that they have appointed Coach Bashir Hayford to take up the new role.

“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Bashir Hayford as the head coach on a contract that runs until the end of the 2020/21 season,” part of an official statement released by Legon Cities FC reads.

Coach Bashir Hayford is starting work immediately and will be in the dugout on Friday when the team takes on Medeama SC on Matchday 3 of the Premier League campaign.
