BREAKING NEWS: Local clubs refuse to release players for Black Stars team B camp

Published on: 19 July 2017

The Black Stars team B has been dealt a massive blow as Premier League clubs have refused to release their players for camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Pampram.

The team B has been in camp over the past few months as they prepare for the upcoming CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso as well as the WAFU tournament slated for September this year.

The clubs of these players have refused to release these players due to the week 24 Ghana Premier League which is due for this weekend.

The latest development could ruin the plans of head coach Maxwell Konadu who is focused on building a formidable team for the WAFU tournament.

Meanwhile, Ghana will square off Burkina Faso in a two legged tie in August as they bid for a spot in the fifth edition of the Chan tournament to be held in Kenya.

The Black Stars team B has twice made it to the finals of the Championship of African Nations and are looking to win it for the first time.
