Brighton midfielder Pascal Gross: Watford point a watershed

Published on: 07 October 2017

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Pascal Gross says their stalemate with Watford will prove a season turning point.

The German explained how the positive performance at Vicarage Road gave the squad belief that they could go on and compete in the Premier League.

He told the cliub's website, “The first two games against Man City and Leicester were tough because they were my first two in the Premier League.

“From the third game we did much better, playing well in every game, with the chance of taking points.

“The performance in the Watford game convinced us that we can win games. We kept a clean sheet, took our first point and then we believed that we could win against West Brom. Since then we've played with more confidence, which was important."
