Hasan Salihamidzic, Bayern Munich's sports director, has instructed his side to respond at Union Berlin on Saturday after their historic 5-0 thumping at Borussia Moenchengladbach.
Bayern Munich suffered a club-record defeat in the German Cup on Wednesday, despite fielding a full-strength squad.
Bayern's performance was described by Salihamidzic as a "collective blackout," and he urged an improvement in east Berlin, where Union had gone undefeated in their last 21 league games.
"We want to give each other a short shake and step on the gas Saturday," fumed the Bayern sports director.
When both home and away league games ended in 1-1 draws last season, Union were the only Bundesliga team that did not lose to Bayern.
