Black Stars of Ghan coach Kwesi Appiah has advised Asante Kotoko to win the first leg of the CAF Champions League clash against Etoile Du Sahel by a bigger margin if they want to make the second leg encounter less difficult.
The Porcupine Warriors will welcome the Tunisia giants to the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday for the first leg before travelling to Tunisia for the return leg in two weeks time.
Appiah, who was part of the side that last won the competition for the club backed the players to do everything possible to win the game in order to make the second leg less important.
“The Caf champions league is sometimes difficult and Etoile du Sahel is also a very experienced side.
“Playing at home Asante Kotoko have to do everything possible to ensure victory and achieve this it will be important everyone puts in his best.
“Asante Kotoko should also try to get a wide margin win so to make the 2nd leg encounter less difficult,” he told Angel FM Sports
The 58-year-old also called on the fans to be patient with the team when the going gets tough.
“The current Asante Kotoko squad is very huge and the will have to get cohesion, it always takes time to get the needed cohesion.
“The fans have to be patient even if the going gets tougher so that the players will be encouraged to put up their best”, he added.
