Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, George Amoako has disclosed he wasn't surprised by his outfit's scoreline at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano in the Caf Champions League playoff.

The Porcupine Warriors were beaten 3-2 by Pillars in a keenly contested game in Nigeria on Saturday.

Amoako says he anticipated a difficult game in Kano but he is confident the Reds will seal qualification at home in Kumasi.

"The game went as I expected it to be because Kano Pillars have been very strong at home over the recent years"

"But I will look at my team Asante Kotoko, we are putting things in place and taking it game after game"

"Losing  3-2 away at Kano is a very good scoreline and we sure of overturning the scoreline in Kumasi".

Asante Kotoko will host Kano Pillars at the Baba Yara Stadium in the return leg in Kumasi as they eye progression to the next stage of the competition.
