Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito has admitted his outfit faces a daunting task against Zamalek in the CAF Confederation Cup but is confident about their chances.

The Ghanaian FA Cup champions are gearing up for a two-legged battle against the Egyptian giants, with the first leg set to take place in Cairo, followed by the second leg on their home turf in Ghana.

The Still Believe lads secured historic qualification to the last four of the competition after edging out Stade Malien.

Zamalek will welcome Dreams FC to the Cairo International Stadium on Sunday, April 21, 2024 before the reverse fixture in Kumasi on April 28, 2024.

“We are not going to disappoint Ghanaians. Truth be told, it’s a dicey encounter but it’s not impossible. I will plead with Ghanaians to pray for us” he said.

Meanwhile, Karim Zito has no worries about the fitness of his players ahead of the titanic clash.

Apart from Sylvester Simba, who complained feeling slight pains in his thigh, the rest of the players are fully fit for the clash.

The Ghana FA Cup holders are expected to depart Ghana for Egypt on Thursday, April 18, 2024 ahead of their game against Zamalek this weekend.
