Dreams FC youngster Abdul Aziz Issah has admitted his outfit played a very tough game against Rivers United in the CAF Confederations Cup on Sunday.

The Ghana FA Cup champions hosted the Nigerian outfit in their second group game of the Cup competition and prevailed at the end of the game.

Goals from attacker John Antwi and Abdul Aziz Issah were enough for the host to snatch victory at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday to bounce back to winning ways after early setback against Club Africain in Tunisia.

Despite picking victory, Abdul Aziz Issah, who registered his name on the scoresheet has admitted his side played against a very tough opposition.

“It was a difficult game for us because we had lost in Tunisia to Club Africain in our first game. Coming back home, we were determined to win at all cost. It was a difficult game for us. Rivers United felt they are more experienced than us but we thank God for the victory”

“We were all motivated and poised to pick the three points at all cost. We knew a defeat against Rivers United could derail our chances in the competition. We thank God and everyone who played a role in this win”

Dreams FC will travel to face Angolan outfit Academica do Lobito in their third group game of the Confederations Cup this weekend.
