CAF Confederations Cup: Dreams FC to depart to Mali on Friday ahead of Stade Malien showdown

Ghanaian outfit Dreams FC are gearing up for the CAF Confederations Cup quarterfinals game against Stade Malien on Sunday.

The Still Believe lads will depart to Bamako, Mali on Friday for the first leg tie to be staged at the Stade 26 Mars Stadium at 5pm.

Dreams FC have made a huge impact in their maiden participation of the Confederations Cup after defying all odds to reach the quarterfinals.

Having finished top of their group, they are scheduled to play at away first this weekend before the return fixture in Kumasi, a week later.

In promises to be a thrilling encounter as both teams will be yearning for qualification to the last four of the competition.

Coach Karim Zito will be counting on experience forward John Antwi, having featured for a host of top clubs in Africa including Al Ahly and Pyramids FC.

The Ghana FA holders will be aiming for a positive result in Mali to make the return leg a mere formality for the Still Believe lads.
