Caleb Ekuban tagged as one of the best transferred players in Turkish football history

AS Spor pundit, Serkan Korkmaz says the move by Ghana international Caleb Ekuban to Trabzonspor is one of the most important transfers in the history of Turkish football.

The Black Stars asset in 2018 sealed a loan move to the Turkish Super Lig club from English Club Leeds United.

At the end of an impressive stint, Caleb Ekuban was signed permanently by Transonspor in 2019.

In the last two seasons, the attacker has been in top form in the Turkish top-flight league and is currently regarded as one of the top players in the European country.

On the back of his heroics in the Turkish Super Cup final against Istanbul Basaksehir on Wednesday evening, an impressed Serkan Korkmaz says the player is one of the most important transfers in Turkish football history.

“Ekuban is one of the most important transfers in Turkish football history,” the A Spor commentators said after the game.

With a goal and an assist, Caleb Ekuban powered Trabzonspor to beat Istanbul Basaksehir 2-1 at the end of the final to ensure his team lifted the enviable Super Cup trophy.
